Lakshmi Lalita Mohan leads the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Germany, France, and across Europe, where she is responsible for advancing industrial cooperation, foreign direct investments, joint ventures, and strategic collaborations between India and Europe. She works closely with leading industrial associations, government institutions, and corporate leaders to strengthen India’s global economic engagement and position India as a preferred destination for trade, innovation, and investment.
Lakshmi’s professional foundation lies in law. She studied German Law at the Universities of Bonn and Münster, specializing in International Law, Corporate Law, and IT Law, and trained at leading international law firms such as Linklaters and Osborne Clarke, where she assisted in M&A transactions and the India Desk operations. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Corporate Security and Compliance and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Munich.
In addition to her institutional role, Lakshmi is also the Founder and CEO of a Switzerland-based HealthTech data company Partex RWD, building one of the most comprehensive multi-modal oncology data hubs, leveraging AI to accelerate clinical research and precision medicine.
Lakshmi serves as a Member of the India Business Forum Executive Committee, an initiative by the Consulate General of India in Frankfurt, and has been the Ambassador of the Indo-German Start-up Exchange Program (GINSEP), a joint initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWK) and the German Startups Association, since 2018.
She was also recognized as one of the “40 Under 40 India–EU Leaders” by the Indo-European Business Forum (IEBF) in Brussels for her outstanding contributions to fostering India–Europe relations.
Lakshmi is a frequent speaker at international conferences and forums on topics such as digital transformation, leadership, women empowerment, and global economic partnerships. With her deep cross-cultural understanding and extensive experience across government, industry, and academia, she continues to play a pivotal role in shaping Indo-European cooperation across sectors.
