Carsten Senz

Vice President Corporate Communications, Huawei Technologies Deutschland

1974 born and raised in Neunkirchen/Saar, Germany.
Lives with his wife and two children in Düsseldorf.

After studying Sinology and Japanese Studies in Trier, Wuhan and Tokyo with a focus on intellectual history and intercultural communication, Carsten Senz worked as a consultant for numerous economic development and location marketing projects for various provinces and municipalities in China (including Beijing, Guangzhou, Hubei, Anhui).

From 2007 to 2010, Carsten Senz headed the Regulatory Affairs department, especially with regard to the European chemicals regulation REACH, for the company WISCO (Wuhan Iron & Steel Corp.). He advised Chinese authorities and companies on the implementation of the REACH requirements for the export of products to the EU.

Carsten Senz has been working for Huawei Technologies in Germany since November 2010, where he helped to establish the Public Affairs & Communications department. His areas of responsibility included media relations, governmental affairs, corporate social responsibility, corporate strategy and campaigns.

Since November 2018, he has been responsible for the entire area of Corporate Communications for Huawei in Germany.
