Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, Head of the National Centre for Cyber Security
Oleksandr Danylyuk is a highly qualified leader with extensive experience in finance, security and political reform, gained in key positions in both the private and public sectors.
As Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine and Head of the National Cyber Security Centre (2019), he played a crucial role in developing the country's security strategy, promoting international cooperation with key allies and advising the President on urgent security issues, including regional crises and defence industry reform.
Previously, he served as an economic and foreign policy advisor during Volodymyr Zelensky's presidential campaign and contributed to the development of his reform programme.From 2016 to 2018, as Ukraine's Minister of Finance, he led crucial economic reforms, including the nationalisation of PrivatBank, the introduction of medium-term budget planning, and key financial components of healthcare and pension reform.
He spearheaded the country's return to international capital markets and secured a landmark $3 billion Eurobond issue.As Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration (2015-2016), he oversaw economic policy, legislative initiatives and anti-corruption measures, as well as shaping reforms of Ukraine's energy sector and strategies for Crimea and eastern Ukraine.
Previously, as Permanent Representative of the President in the Cabinet of Ministers (2014-2016), he played a key role in the DCFTA negotiations between Ukraine, the EU and Russia.He led the Ukrainian delegation to GRECO (2014-2016) and promoted the creation of a robust anti-corruption framework. He also headed the Coordination Centre for Economic Reforms (2010-2015), which promoted comprehensive structural reforms in Ukraine.
