Thomas Johannes Gottschalk (born May 18, 1950 in Bamberg) is a German radio and television presenter, entertainer, and actor.

He first gained fame as a radio presenter in the 1970s. In the 1980s, he began hosting television shows such as "Thommys Pop Show" or "Na sowas!" on ZDF. He also acted in entertainment films like "Piratensender Powerplay," "Die Supernasen 1-4," "Zärtliche Chaoten," and "die Einsteiger," often in collaboration with Mike Krüger.

These films were the most successful films in Germany during the 1990s. From 1987, he hosted the entertainment show "Wetten, dass..?" ("Wanna bet..?"). The last episode of "Wetten, dass..?" aired on 6 November 2023 and achieved a market share of 45%.

Currently, Thomas Gottschalk can be seen on RTL in the prime time show "Und sie wissen nicht, was sie tun" together with Barbara Schöneberger and Günther Jauch.

Since April 2023, he has been hosting the weekly RTL+ podcast "Die Supernasen" with Mike Krüger.
