Mirko Cesena is a three-time World Champion in remote aviation and one of the rare pioneers who mastered flight long before drones became an industry.

He began flying at the age of 9, nearly two decades before unmanned systems became mainstream. Long before “drone technology” was a business category, Mirko was already building, crashing, rebuilding, and refining remotely piloted aircraft – developing an instinctive, flight-first understanding that only thousands of real-world hours can create.

His journey evolved from elite competitive performance into deep technical mastery. Over more than 17 years, he has designed, built, and flown more than 400 drone systems – from ultra-small FPV trainers to long-range strike platforms, VTOL aircraft powered by electric, piston, and turbine engines, and high-speed jet-powered systems. Among his most significant milestones is the design, construction, and flight of the world’s first aerobatic manned drone capable of carrying a 100 kg payload - an unprecedented fusion of aeronautical engineering, extreme piloting, and safety-critical system design.

After establishing himself as one of the world’s leading competition drone pilots, Mirko co-founded Jedsy, a medical drone delivery company, helping bridge the gap between experimental drones and certified daily operations. He collaborated with manufacturers such as DJI, contributing early operational feedback on advanced transmission and flight systems. In parallel, through his video production company AMAZE Production, he delivered high-end aerial productions for global brands including Red Bull, McDonald’s, and Adidas, translating extreme FPV expertise into commercial excellence creating hundreds of thousands social media followers and millions of views.

His journey has resulted in a unique combination of elite piloting, system architecture, operational doctrine, and mission-ready training. In 2025, he developed and delivered a complete advanced drone training curriculum for Armed Forces, preparing soldiers for realistic, high-pressure operational environments.
