Founder and Publisher The Pioneer
Gabor Steingart, born in 1962, is a journalist and media entrepreneur. He began his career as a reporter for the German magazine WirtschaftsWoche before spending several years as head of the capital city offices in Berlin and Washington for Der Spiegel.
He later became editor-in-chief of Handelsblatt (2010–2012) and subsequently served as publisher, CEO, and co-owner of the Handelsblatt Media Group (2013–2018).
In 2018, Steingart founded The Pioneer, a media start-up that also operates two ships, The Pioneer One and The Pioneer Two. Since then, he has been the publisher of The Pioneer Morning Briefing.
In addition to his journalistic work, he has published eleven books, seven of which have made it onto the Spiegelbestseller list, his newest book is called Systemversagen.
