Daniel Büchle completed his business administration studies at the Cooperative State University Baden-Württemberg in Karlsruhe. Since the company was founded in 2004, he has been part of
afb social & green IT, Europe’s largest non-profit IT enterprise. With this, Daniel Büchle has more than 20 years of experience in IT remarketing and IT recycling. He is an expert in the circular economy of IT and mobile devices, as well as in the profitable scaling of business models with a strong ecological and social focus.
As a member of the afb Executive Management team since 2009 and its chair since 2024, Daniel Büchle is responsible for the areas of sustainability, partner management, production & logistics, finance, IT, controlling, and marketing.
He is a strong advocate for sustainable procurement, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable digitalization. Since 2021, he has been voluntarily serving on the board of the Jaro Institute for Sustainability and Digitalization, is a member of the corporate advisory board of B.A.U.M. e.V., and, since 2026, a board member of the Social Entrepreneurship Network Germany (SEND) e.V.
