Founder & CEO OMR 

Philipp Westermeyer is founder and CEO of OMR, a 360° media company that focuses on digital business, marketing, finance and tech. OMR currently employs a full-time staff of 170 at its home offices in Hamburg, Germany. The annual OMR Festival is among the world’s leading live events for the digital industry; in 2019, 50,000 persons attended the 2-day event, which attracts both international stars and high-ranking managers from international businesses.

The core website, omr.com, features a variety of content and product offerings and generates roughly 1 million impressions every month. OMR subsidiary “Podstars” produces over
50 different podcast formats in collaboration with a plethora of well-known partners. Philipp hosts the OMR Podcast twice per week to his audience of approx. 50,000, as well as the daily stock market podcast “Ohne Aktien wird schwer” (No shares, no luck) in cooperation with Trade Republic. Since 2020, OMR has also operated the largest German software comparison portal on omr.com/reviews. Additional OMR pillars include its education division, offering a host of varying further education formats, OMR Jobs, the company’s proprietary jobs portal, as well as heading up operations of the Heinrich-Herz TV tower in Hamburg (together with Hamburg Messe exhibition centre and Home United).

Prior to OMR, Philipp Westermeyer founded two digital marketing companies together with partners in the marketing and tech sectors, both of which led to successful exits (adyard in 2011, sold to Gruner + Jahr, and metrigo in 2015, sold to Zalando).
