Horacio is a Civil Engineer as well as a passionate high altitude mountain climber, polar explorer and ultra-marathoner. He started climbing in his home Argentina at early age and moved to Canada 11 years ago. He currently works in a Senior Management position as a Director of Community Safety for the City of Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada, leading a service area in Local Government with more than 500 employees. Horacio has set out to complete The Grand Slam of Mountaineering: climb the highest mountain of each continent (The Seven Summits) and reach the North and South Poles by foot. He started his quest in 2001. In 2013, Horacio reached the summit of Mt. Everest where he set a new World Record using mobile technology, performing the highest banking transaction on Earth. In April 2014, he finished the North Pole Marathon - 42 km on ice at –50°C. Recently Horacio traveled to Papua New Guinea to climb the Carstensz Pyramid. The final expedition to complete The Grand Slam of Mountaineering is planned for January 2016 in Antarctica, climbing Mount Vinson and walking the last 140 km to the Geographic South Pole.
