Professor for Finance and Banking at University Duisburg-Essen
Rainer Elschen is professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen and holds the chair of financial management and banking.
He is also a visiting professor at different universities and chief of the European Center for Financial Services (ecfs) in Duisburg as well as of the Research Institut for Financial Services and Corporate Finance (RISC-F) in Essen. Besides that, he is a longtime investigator of the Administration and Business Academy in Essen. He gained practical experience as an entrepreneur and later as a board member and chairman of several companies, especially in the IT industry, where he still holds board and advisory positions. He has extensive contacts and a close-knit frame network in almost all industries, both nationally and internationally (particularly Turkey, Arab States, China). Professor Elschen has been partner of CLP Corporate Finance GmbH since mid-2008.
