Partner Emeritus at Wellington Partners

Frank looks back on 25 years of experience in the global financial and venture capital market. After receiving a business and economics degree from University of Essen and University of Toronto, he joined JP Morgan in 1989. Frank worked in M&A and Equity Capital Markets in New York, London and Frankfurt. Early on he started to focus on the media and tech sector. In 1998 Frank joined Rolf Dienst at Wellington Partners. Their first venture capital fund invested in legendary companies such as ACG, Actelion, Alando, ImmoScout24, e-circle, SAF, Webmiles and Ciao. Wellington Partners raised more than €650 million in four venture fund generations and became one of the leading tech investors in Europe. Frank led investments such as Spotify, Adconion, Gameduell, Astaro, and Cobion. Since 2013 he has reduced his involvement at Wellington Partners and became a Partner Emeritus. Frank has always taken keen interest in wildlife conservation and is now spending an increasing amount of time supporting international wildlife projects. He has a particularly close relationship with the Wildlife Conservation Network (WCN) which has been founded and supported by some of the most prominent Silicon Valley entrepreneurs. WCN is the main force behind the Elephant Crisis Fund.
