Eran was born in Israel and moved with his family to Berlin in 2005, following Prof. Hasso Plattner’s vision to start the Venture Capital Fund Hasso Plattner Ventures. Eran founded three VC Funds – one in Europe and one in South Africa - with a volume of 190 Mio € and served as President and CEO for nine years. Eran is also the co-founder and managing director of Hasso Plattner Capital - the Plattners’ Family Office. Eran is now leading a new fund – Davidson Technology Growth Debt, the first to provide credit to mid/late stage High-Tech companies in Germany. Eran’s experience in Venture Capital early-stage investments goes back to 1996, when he joined the Israeli Venture fund Inventech as Vice President, with 5 IPO’s during 1998-1999. In the beginning of 2000, Eran was appointed Managing Partner of Eurofund 2000 VC fund, later becoming the best Israeli 2000 breed fund. From 2002 to 2005, Eran served as CEO of ProSeed Capital Fund in Tel Aviv, leading the acquisition of Technion Technological Incubator, the top-ranked Israeli Private Incubator for three consecutive years. Eran holds an LLB from Tel Aviv University and a MBA from Boston University, Be´er Sheva. Eran is married, has 3 children and lives in Berlin.
