German-French Journalist and Publicist († 16. August 2014)

Dr. Scholl-Latour read Arabic Studies at the Universities of Mainz, Paris and Beirut, before embarking on his career in journalism firstly as the ARD correspondent in Africa and Paris before working as programme director for WDR.

From 1975 to 1983 he managed the ZDF television studios in Paris, moving on to become a member of the Gruner and Jahr Board of Directors and in 1988 Editor of Stern magazine. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to journalism he has received numerous awards including the Adolf-Grimme-Preis, the Strassburger Goldmedaille and the Deutsche Fernsehpreis amongst others.
