Dr. Claus Elfring is Partner of Ernst & Young Law and head of the Corporate/M&A department in Munich, Germany.
Prior to joining Ernst & Young in 2010, he worked from 2004 to 2010 as attorney for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom (Munich, New York) and from 2002-2004 for Baker & McKenzie (Düsseldorf, Munich). Claus studied law at the Universities of Bayreuth and Münster, where he also received a doctor’s degree. He is a lecturer for M&A in the LL.M. programme of the University of Münster. Claus has lead various domestic and cross-border buy- and sell-side transactions in different industries, for corporate clients as well as for private equity and venture capital investors.
