Sandro Merino is Head UBS Wealth Management Research Europe. After his degree in theoretical physics and a PhD in mathematics from the University of Zurich in 1994, Sandro was an European Union Research Fellow in Edinburgh and in Glasgow from 1994 to 1997.
In particular, Sandro worked in mathematical finance, which was the trigger to join UBS in 1997 as a risk analyst in the risk control of exotic derivatives. From 2003 to 2005 he headed UBS Wealth Management’s Credit Research. Since 2005 Sandro Merino has been responsible for UBS Wealth Management’s equity, credit and fund research. He was appointed to additional responsibility as Head Wealth Management Research in Europe in 2006.
