Roland Koch is lawyer, politician and manager. He studied law at Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main and specialized in commercial and competition law.
He was Prime Minister of Hessen and President of the Bundesrat from 1999 to 2010. In October 2010, he was announced designated chief executive officer at Bilfinger Berger SE., Germany’s second-largest construction company. Roland Koch was honored with the Silver Award of the American Chamber of Commerce in 2010.
